“Mother of the True God, and our Mother, Lady of Guadalupe, we beg you that your journey through all the Americas be realized now… We know that you want to end abortion in the world and convert millions… O Lady, help us support your mission with our prayers in order that your Missionary Image will be well-received in all of the Americas…”The Prayer for the Missionary Image by Juan Jesus Posadas Ocampo, Archbishop (later Cardinal) of Guadalajara, Mexico
Our Lady made her first Visitation to a town of Judah. She was pregnant and St. Elizabeth, her elderly, pregnant cousin, greeted her and cried out with joy, “Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. And how does this happen to me, that the mother of my Lord should visit me?” (Luke 1:42-43).
Mary is still making Visitations and traveling great distances to hear us cry out with this joy. Elizabeth’s awe, wonder and true humility are being shared today by people throughout America. They are ordinary people like Elizabeth and like you who are honored by Visitations from the Blessed Mother in the Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe!
St. John Paul II asked Our Lady “to visit as a pilgrim of faith, each and every diocese, parish and family in America, repeating to her children what she said at Cana, ‘Do whatever He tells you.’ (Jn. 2:5). May she cross this continent bringing it life, sweetness and hope!” This is the mission of our apostolate.
The Missionary Image needs to travel on Visitations to melt hearts and to raise what St. John Paul II called “a great prayer for life” in order to transform our culture from a Culture of Death to a Culture of Life. We celebrate the Visitation of Mary to Elizabeth with this in mind.
Pope Francis said, “Holy Week challenges us to step outside ourselves so as to attend to the needs of others: those who long for a sympathetic ear, those in need of comfort or help. We should not simply remain in our own secure world, that of the ninety-nine sheep who never strayed from the fold, but we should go out, with Christ, in search of the one lost sheep, however far it may have wandered.”
This is what we do on Visitations with the Missionary Image. We look for the lost sheep, the marginalized people, the poor, the sick, the hospitalized, the prisoners, those in nursing homes, etc. We try to bring them light, joy and hope through Our Lady of Guadalupe whom St. John Paul II called the Mother of Hope.
Faithful Guardian Maria Woltornist of Glen Gardner, New Jersey, has hosted the Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe for Visitations on many occasions. Below are Maria’s photographs and comments that show how well received Our Lady was during one of her Visitations. Our Lady visited homes, schools and churches, she comforted the sick and interceded at a Peaceful Prayer Presence at a Planned Parenthood abortion center. On her feast of the Immaculate Conception a parish received Our Lady and made their total consecration to her Immaculate Heart before the image.
When the image arrived, we just enjoyed her and the children slept at her feet that evening. Our Mother was home! We prayed our Rosary before her.
Our Lady visited Immaculata High School and Father Mauricio brought his students to venerate her in the chapel.
We stood outside Planned Parenthood in a Peaceful Prayer Presence and prayed for the close of this facility that kills unborn babies. We prayed for the people who work there and the mothers who enter there. We decided we’d run a 40 Days for Life because of our visit there.
Our Lady visited St. Mags Flemington with a big celebration, including a procession. On the feast of the Immaculate Conception the parish made their total consecration to her Immaculate Heart before the image.
We had an open house in our new home and two of our new neighbors came and joined us! Our Lady was with us when we were all sick with a stomach bug – and my one granddaughter was over! (our Mary with Ava Grace).
You too can host a visitation like Maria. Please help us continue these life-giving Visitations so that Our Lady will melt hearts, intercede and bring miracles, conversions and the restoration of a Culture of Life to our nation today. As we celebrate our 28th anniversary, we need your help to hopefully continue our mission into the next 28 years. We are in debt $32,000.00.
We have no assets besides our furniture and equipment. We have no savings accounts or investments. We live from hand to mouth depending upon divine providence and your generosity.
We plead for your mercy. Giving alms is a work of mercy for which God will bless you.
“Be not sparing of freewill gifts. With each contribution show a cheerful countenance, and pay your tithes in a spirit of joy. Give to the Most High as He has given to you, generously, according to your means. For the LORD is one who always repays, and He will give back to you sevenfold.” (Sirach 35:7-10). Thank you for your generosity!
Sincerely in Christ,
Perhaps Our Lady is calling you to host a Home Visitation for her. The format consists of viewing of our video, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mother of Hope! and praying the full Novena to her.
All you do is watch our video, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mother of Hope!
Then pray the full Novena to Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of All America, in front of her Image, or, if possible, A Holy Hour for Life, Peace and Protection.
